Edroia ("we", "us", or "our") develops and publishes Matics (renamed from Mathzen). This Privacy Policy provides full transparency regarding how Matics processes information when you download, install, or use our mobile application across Android and iOS platforms.

We are committed to protecting user privacy while delivering high-speed active recall training. This document outlines our data practices, local storage models, and the third-party monetization and analytics services utilized to maintain and improve the application.

2. Information We Do Not Collect Directly

Matics is designed to function seamlessly without requiring account registration or personal identity submission. We do not directly collect or store:

• No Personal Identifiers: We do not ask for or collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses.
• No User Accounts: There is no mandatory sign-up, login, or social network connection required to practice formulas.
• No Precise Geolocation: We never request GPS or real-time location permissions.
• No Contact Lists or Media: We do not access your device contacts, photo galleries, or personal file systems.

3. Advertising via Google AdMob

To provide Matics as a free application and support continuous feature development, we display in-app advertisements through Google AdMob (a service provided by Google LLC).

AdMob may automatically collect and process certain technical identifiers and device information to serve relevant ads, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance:

• Advertising Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (GAID on Android) or Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA on iOS).
• Device & Network Data: IP address, device model, operating system version, mobile network carrier, and general coarse location (country/city level derived from IP).
• Ad Interaction Metrics: Information regarding which ads are viewed, clicked, or dismissed within the app.

Managing Your Ad Preferences: You have full control over personalized advertising. You can reset your advertising identifier or opt out of interest-based ads anytime through your device settings:

• Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID.
• iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > Toggle off app tracking permissions.

4. Google Firebase Analytics & Diagnostics

We integrate Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (provided by Google LLC) to monitor application stability, detect bugs, and understand how features are utilized in aggregate.

• Diagnostic & Performance Data: Anonymized crash logs, app launch counts, session duration, screen navigation paths, and memory/speed metrics.
• Pseudonymous Identifiers: Firebase assigns a random, pseudonymous App Instance ID to distinguish distinct app installations without identifying any individual user.
• Purpose of Processing: This data is used solely to troubleshoot crashes, optimize calculation response times, and refine educational math curricula.

6. Hands-Free Voice Mode & Microphone Permissions

Matics includes an optional Hands-Free Voice Recognition Mode allowing you to recite formula answers out loud.

• On-Device Speech Processing: When microphone permission is granted, audio is processed in real time strictly through native on-device speech recognizers (Android SpeechRecognizer or iOS Speech Framework).
• Zero Audio Storage or Transmission: Audio is never recorded to disk, uploaded to cloud servers, or shared with third parties. Temporary audio buffers are erased immediately upon digit recognition.
• Optional Access: You can decline microphone access and continue using full app functionality via manual keypad input.

7. Local Learning Data & Spaced Repetition Storage

Your practice streaks, accuracy scores, flashcard mastery levels, and customized question limits are stored exclusively in your device's local sandboxed memory (SQLite/Preferences).

• We do not sync or back up your formula progress to external databases.
• You can erase all local metrics at any time by clearing application data in your device Settings or by uninstalling the application.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)

Matics is designed for students, learners, and math enthusiasts of all age groups. We take children's privacy seriously:

• We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Union).
• For child-directed sessions or users identified as minors, Google AdMob is configured to serve non-personalized, contextual advertisements in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play Families Policy.

9. User Rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA & Global Privacy Laws)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have specific privacy rights including the right to access, rectify, or delete personal data, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data for targeted advertising.

• Advertising Opt-Out: You can opt out of interest-based ads via your operating system settings as described in Section 3.
• Data Deletion: Local app data can be deleted instantly by clearing app storage or uninstalling.

10. Security Standards

We implement industry-standard security practices to protect data within the app sandbox. All network communications initiated by third-party SDKs (AdMob, Firebase) occur over encrypted HTTPS connections.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect modifications in our features, advertising configurations, or legal requirements. Any updates will be published directly on this page with a revised "Effective Date".
